Our corporate sponsorship has:
- Made possible the construction of five bridges.
- Connected more than 24,000 people to life-changing essential services and opportunities.
- Sent 50 volunteers to Rwanda and Uganda.
Helping to build better lives since 2016.
Our next trail bridge will be built in Rwanda in summer 2025.
Most recently, in June 2023, our team of volunteers worked for two weeks to complete the construction of the Nyagafunzo suspended trail bridge.
The lasting impact of this trail bridge on the surrounding communities will be felt for years to come. From increased farm profits to safe access to education and healthcare. Our support will improve the livelihoods of more than 3,300 impacted individuals.
“Just wanted to say that it was an amazing experience from start to finish. I came out hoping to be humbled, and I definitely was. Everybody was extremely kind and helpful. The workers were extremely hard working, funny and kind. It was great to help the community the way that we did. Luckily, we were able to get on well with everyone and put a smile on most people’s faces we interacted with.”

“Nyagafunzo Bridge has been an increasingly humbling experience, the local community, the workforce and B2P team became family over the 2-week project. The local workforce has been some of the hardest working people I’ve ever met and every single person was friendly and happy. The B2P chefs and Eric were fantastic hosts and cooks, the food was one of the highlights of the trip. Innocent and Olivier were amazing drivers, advisors, translators, workers and friends, which added so much value to the time here. Ange did an amazing job of holding this all together, leading, giving fantastic advice, suggestions and looking after us both on and off site, the perfect host!”

The team’s dedication and tireless efforts have made a significant impact in improving the lives of countless individuals in the community. The contribution has created reliable access to transportation, which is essential to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The SDGs are a set of 17 goals adopted by the United Nations to end poverty, protect the planet, and reduce inequality. The work with B2P has directly influenced the achievement of 10 of these goals.”

communities
This puts a responsibility on us to earn people’s trust and be a good neighbour.
Our priorities are contributing to local economies through procurement and job creation and educating and inspiring young people about our work and careers in construction.
At Mumbles Coastal Protection Scheme for Swansea Council we visited Oystermouth Primary School. With the support of Dilwyn, the friendly sea monster, our community engagement team told the tale of constructing the sea defences to protect the town from flooding, helping pupils to learn about their local environment, Mumbles’ history, climate change and the role of construction companies.

We often donate our time and skills providing gifts in kind that leave a positive legacy for communities.
While building Portsmouth International Port’s passenger terminal extension our team of 20 volunteers gave their time over three days to complete a garden makeover.
The Catherine Booth Lifehouse is run by the Salvation Army and helps vulnerable families with high support needs who are experiencing homelessness. The project aims to equip families with the life skills they need to maintain a tenancy and become independent members of the community.
Our volunteers gave their time, skills and resources to transform the garden area into an attractive and accessible space. This was anticipated to have immeasurable benefits for the families in the facility, improving their well-being and supporting their journey to independence.
