Outdoor Classroom Day is a global movement to inspire and celebrate outdoor play and learning.
Led by Dorset Coast Forum, the event hosted 166 enthusiastic pupils from seven schools at Baiter Park, Poole for time out of the classroom packed with over 15 fun and educational STEM activities focused on our coastline and its wildlife including;
- Remote controlled diggers and dumper trucks with Knights Brown
- Surveyor Skills Challenge, dig and discover with Dalcour Maclaren the role of being a surveyor
- Sand particle sieving and choose your favourite type of beach sand with South West Flood & Coastal
A great day of learning was had, working alongside BCP Council, Birds of BARI, Dorset Heaths Litter Free Dorset – Land, Coast & Sea Ocean Conservation Trust & National Trust Studland Bay.
