The awards, hosted by Insider and The Business Magazine, celebrate exceptional achievement and innovation across the South Coast. This year’s winners were revealed at a prestigious dinner on 24 June at The Harbour Hotel in Southampton, bringing together leaders from some of the region’s most dynamic privately owned businesses.
Now in its 11th year, the Solent 250 Awards recognise the top 250 privately owned companies by turnover headquartered in the Solent area. The programme is a benchmark of business excellence that showcases the strength and diversity of the region’s economy.
Knights Brown was recognised for its impressive leadership team and its commitment to culture, employee experience and ethical leadership. Judges praised the company’s Inspiring Leaders Programme, which supports career progression for mid-level managers and encourages open feedback between all levels of the business. The company’s focus on staff wellbeing, low attrition, competitive pay, development opportunities and a culture where people feel confident to challenge were also highlighted.
